Why neutral traits matter most

Neutral character traits are the ones most lists quietly file under whichever heading suits them. Ambitious, stubborn, reserved, sensitive, trusting — each of these is a strength in one situation and a liability in another, and none of them means much without a context attached.

This is the most useful group on the site and the one competitors handle worst. Stubbornness is a flaw when it blocks a reasonable compromise and a strength when it holds a line under pressure — and it is exactly the same behaviour either way. Every trait here carries a note explaining both readings.
